Teaching Nursery Rhymes To Children
Teaching Nursery Rhymes to Children
Nursery rhymes are a fun way to use your imagination along with a wonderful method to teach your son or daughter how you can read, listen, and speak. Nursery rhyme activities are excellent in teaching children at a party or in the classroom. Here are a few great tips for teaching nursery rhymes:
Glow in the dark stars may be used to light up a dark room for Hey Diddle, Diddle. You can create a cow jumping over the moon so when the lights venture out, everyone is going to be reminded of the nursery rhyme. The glow at nighttime stars are an easy way to create the mood for nighttime when you`re reading other nursery rhymes for your child.
Most kids is going to be acquainted with nursery rhymes, but for the ones that shouldn`t you be should start with a pleasant introduction. When you are introducing nursery rhymes, start by reading the nursery rhymes towards the children first so they can become familiar with them. Use props or show images of different animals and characters within the nursery rhyme.
A great way to teach children about word families is to create picture dictionaries. Most of the nursery rhymes contain common word families. These nursery rhymes are ideal for teaching letter combinations. Have your children or students sound out different letter combinations once they have Mickeyy Mouse memorized them.
